I have blogged before about this remarkable site. Now the Montana Historical Society has announced that it has received a $280,000 grant through this program to digitize 50,000 pages of Montana newspapers published from 1860 to 1922.
A statewide committee will select the newspapers to be included. The Historical Society’s collection includes more than 90 percent of newspapers ever published in Montana, it says.
