Wednesday talk radio update

So why do you suppose that both houses of Congress have now passed health care reform legislation?

If your answer is that they wanted to reform health care, then you are an idiot. Or at least you haven’t listened to enough talk radio. Because the overwhelming message yesterday (another holiday, another early delivery day) was that the liars in charge of the “Democrat Party” have no interest in health care. What they want is to control every aspect of your life.

This message went out on conservative talk radio from morning to evening, from one host to the next host. Not only was the message identical, the language nearly was. All the major shows had guest hosts, and they all rolled off the same assembly line: There was virtually no variation in message, in language or in rhetorical style.

Mark Steyn, filling in for Limbaugh, called the bill, not to put too fine a point on it, the worst in human history. Think Nazis were bad? You don’t know what bad is.

Interested in knowing what’s actually in the bill? Turn to NPR, you wimp. Interested in hearing from someone who thinks it might actually be a good bill? Shut up, you communist. Talk radio is for hard-nosed realists who know that real Americans will never be able to understand what’s in the bill anyway, because it is written by obfuscators for the purpose of obfuscating. Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi and Barack Obama don’t want you to know what the bill would actually do; they just want to enslave you.

Merry Christmas, slave.
