Susan Carol Johnson (nee Beam), 56, died at her home in Billings on Sunday, Sept. 1, 2013, of cancer.
She was born in Bozeman on July 8, 1957, and attended schools in Montana, California, Washington and Utah. She graduated from Murray High School in Murray, Utah, in 1975.
That same year she moved to Hawaii where she lived for four years before moving back to Salt Lake City to attend the University of Utah and take up a career in finance and banking.
She married Michael Edward Johnson on June 18, 2005, in Mammoth and then moved from Salt Lake City to Missoula to be with her husband. They moved to Billings in 2010 when Mr. Johnson accepted a position with Local 400, Operating Engineers Union.
She loved skiing and shooting and spent the last weeks of her life at Lake Mary Ronan.
Survivors include her husband; parents, Bill and Darlene Beam (nee McLaughlin); a sister, Kathy Beam; and stepchildren, Jessie May Green and Lawrence Bird Johnson.
A celebration of her life will be held in Pony at 2 p.m. Sept. 14 at the Pony Senior Citizens Center followed by graveside services. Arrangements are by Cremation & Funeral Gallery.
