John C. Sun Goes Slow, 52, who was a chef in Yellowstone National Park, died July 2, 2014.
He was born Oct. 23, 1961, in Billings. He grew up and attended school in Pryor. He was a chef at various places and resorts including Yellowstone Park.
He did beadwork and Crow traditional dancing.
Survivors include 20 sisters, Ellagene Lance, Lena RidesHorse, Gaye McNeil, Carmen Belden, Adriene Loveridge, Nicole Leahy, Lisa, Jennifer Karina and Anna Bellrock, Nikkie and Precious McClusky, Clarina and Latoya Johnson, Tammy, Lana and Amanda LittleEagle, Randine Bankston, Teresa Haun, Clara Wilson and Jolene Smells; 16 brothers, Justin and William Cortright, Chucky Lance, Edwin and Vernon Tsosie, J.K. and Dione Bellrock, Jonnie, R.J. and Ethan McClusky, Darren Stands, Dalton and Nomee Oagalie and Brandon, Jessie and Anthony Johnson; and an adopted son, Nic Kopczynski.
Arrangements are in the care of Dahl Funeral Chapel. Viewing will be from noon to 5 p.m. Friday. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday. Both events will be at Dahl Funeral Chapel with interment to follow in Pryor.
