Mardell “Dell” E. Pfennig, 70, of Billings, who had been a surgical nurse, died July 9, 2014, of cancer.
She was born in Mankato, Minn., on March 28, 1944, to George and Jeanne Ebert. She married Wayne Waldron and moved to Albert Lea, Minn. They had two children, Jeff and Jennifer.
After they divorced, she moved to Minneapolis and married Allen Pfennig. They had three children, Donna Mae, Jaydene and Jason. In addition, Mr. Pfennig adopted Jeff and Jennifer.
Mr. and Mrs. Pfennig moved to Billings and after 13 years of marriage were divorced. Mrs. Pfennig worked as a surgical nurse for 13 years and also on the orthopedic floor at St. Vincent Hospital until a neck injury left her disabled.
She was a member of Hope Lutheran Church and participated in Relay For Life as a breast cancer survivor.
Survivors include six siblings, four children, seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Services were July 14 at Hope Lutheran Church. Arrangements were in the care of Dahl Funeral Chapel
